  • Where are classes held?

    All Classes are held in Springfield VA on Mondays and Alexandria, VA on Wednesdays.

  • Do I have to be a club member to take classes?

    No. Our puppy and basic classes are open to the general public. You do need to register for these classes. All upper level classes require you to become a training club member and pay an annual fee.

  • My dog is really smart. Can I skip basic and move on to a higher level?

    No. You must take the Basic class first. Each level of training builds on what you learned in the previous level.

  • Do you offer rally classes?

    No, we do not have a dedicated rally class. The instructors work on some of the rally signs in the other classes and a few times a year the upper level classes will offer a rally night.

  • If I take training classes with MVDTC am I a voting member of the club?

    No. Training members are not voting members. Membership requires two voting members and an invitation to join the membership.

  • I belong to another club, can I still take classes at MVDTC?

    Absolutely!

  • Are crates available at training classes or trials?

    No. You would need to bring your own crate for your dog.
